Improve project performance

How can organizations preserve output, deliver their strategic and operational plans and stay poised to meet increasing consumer demand when project management demands are high?  Assigning resources to new projects affects the work balance within the organization because resources must perform both their regular job as well their project assignment.  This can create tension for both the resources and their managers.  Managers will want to make sure that employees are keeping up their departmental duties and may not always be sympathetic to their work duties on projects
